Bethany's 3rd week at home

It is quite fast, Bethany is now 3 weeks old. Mommy and Grandma both do a great job taking care of Bethany. Mommy continues to nurse Bethany day and night. Bethany is very good occasionally, good on some, so-so most of the time, not so good on a few nights and bad the rest of the time.

Definition of terms:

Very good - sleeping at least 1.5 to 2 hours straight in her crib.

Good - sleeping at least 1 to 1.5 hours straight in mom or dad's belly.

So-so - sleeping only when held for at least 1 hour.

Not so good - sleeping only when held with no fixed number of hours in between crying.

Bad - not sleeping at all, tries very hard to wake up not just the entire house but the entire neighborhood.

Bethany is going through a growth spurt these few days and is very hungry all the time. Mom has to feed her very often and is glued to the rocking chair for more than 12 hours of the day in order to feed Bethany. Mom was down 23 lbs from her pre-pregnancy weight after the water was gone and is now down another pound due to Bethany's voracious appetite.
