Bethany – House of figs

In Matt 21:17 & Mark 11:11, Jesus went out of the city to spend the night in Bethany. It is in Bethany where Jesus could feast, have rest, be received and be satisfied. Bethany is a miniature church, the house of God. Here you will find: Simon (the leper), Mary, Martha & Lazarus. The house of God is where He dwells - it is composed of cleansed sinners (Simon) who has the heart and love for the Lord by sitting at His feet (Mary), who serve the Lord (Martha) and who is the living testimony of the resurrected life (Lazarus).

Hannah – Favor; grace; blessed by God

As recorded in 1 Samuel 1-2, Hannah was childless but she wept, fasted, prayed and cried unto the Lord for a son who would be given to the Lord for His service. Hannah’s prayer was the means for the birth of Samuel. This son was the one who brought in the King. God wants to have a people who will be able to pray and bring in the Kingdom. The Hannah ministry is the prayer ministry of bringing in the King.
